Several speakers, including Kevin Nguyen, proponent for RPI and Tom Wood, Americans Against Discrimination and Preferences, will present their views on the Racial Privacy Initiative and what impact its passage may have on postsecondary education in California.

The Value of Diversity in Higher Education
A three-member panel, including Theodore Mitchell, President of Occidental College, will discuss the nature of campus diversity and how diversity impacts access to education.

How Admission Policies and Practices Impact Access and Diversity
A three-member panel, including Kenneth Marcus, U. S. Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights and Calvin Moore, Chair of the Faculty Undergraduate Admissions Committee at U.C. Berkeley; will discuss the role the admission process plays regarding access and diversity.

Panel Discussion
The Role Data Collection Plays in Shaping Policy regarding Access and Diversity
A three-member panel consisting of Henry Der, a former CPEC Commissioner and expert on the United States Census; Mark Wolf, a graduate student at the UC Berkeley School of Public Policy; and a representative from MPR Associates, a firm that specializes in federal and state data collection and analysis, will discuss how data is used to guide policy and evaluate outcomes.
