Review of a Proposal to Establish the North Natomas Education Center

The North Natomas area of Sacramento is one of the most rapidly growing areas of California. In this report, the Commission considers a proposal by the Los Rios Community College District to establish the North Natomas Education Center as a permanent off-campus center of American River College. Staff Update: Developing a System to Compare Degree Production With Labor Market Demand

Staff is developing a system to compare production of degrees and other qualifications with job openings in California. Occupational projections developed by the California Employment Development Department are an important part of this system. Commission staff will review the methods and assumptions used in EDD projections and propose how the projections could be adapted for use in analysis of postsecondary education issues.
