Improving Teacher Quality 2009 Request for Proposals
Initiative #1: Addressing the Achievement Gap in Middle Schools
Grant proposals for Initiative #1 are limited to projects that help middle school teachers address
achievement gaps among their students. Successful applicants will develop an approach to serving
teachers that includes at least one whole department within the school or schools they are serving.
Addressing the Achievement Gap in Middle Schools Request for Proposals
If you are interested in submitting a proposal under the Achievement Gap Initiative, you must submit a
Notice of Intent
to be received at the Commission’s offices no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009.
Application materials are now available below.
Proposals are due Thursday, May 28, 2009, by 5 p.m. (see Application Instructions for details).
