Column Data Type Storage Length NULL Allowed Description
Report_Year Character (ASCII) 4 4 Yes The year the data was reported to IPEDS.
Unit_ID Character (ASCII) 6 6 Yes The federal unit id of the school.
Campus_ID Character (ASCII) 2 2 Yes The campus id of a school or off-campus location. Used with the federal unit id to identify the name of the parent school and the specific campus location.
Institution_Code Character (ASCII) 6 6 Yes Code identifying a postsecondary institution assigned by the Commission.
Location_Code Character (ASCII) 3 3 Yes Code identifying the location where a crime was committed.
CrimeCat_Code Character (ASCII) 2 2 Yes Code identifying the category of a crime.
Murder_NonNegManslaughter Integer 5 2 Yes The number of murders and non-negligent manslaughters reported.
Aggravated_Assault Integer 5 2 Yes The number of aggravated assaults reported.
SexOff_Forcible Integer 5 2 Yes The number of forcible sex offenses reported.
Arson Integer 5 2 Yes The number of arsons reported.
Negligent_Manslaughter Integer 5 2 Yes The number of negligent manslaughters reported.
SexOff_NonForcible Integer 5 2 Yes The number of non-forcible sex offenses reported.
Other_Crime Integer 5 2 Yes The number of any other type of crime involving bodily injury not included in the other descriptions.
Robbery Integer 5 2 Yes The number of robberies reported.
Burglary Integer 5 2 Yes The number of burglaries reported.
MotorVeh_Theft Integer 5 2 Yes The number of motor vehicle thefts reported.
Liquor_Violations Integer 5 2 Yes The number of liquor violations reported.
Drug_Violations Integer 5 2 Yes The number of drug violations reported.
Illegal_Weapons Integer 5 2 Yes The number of illegal weapons possessions reported.

Cohort Integer 5 2 Yes The size of the cohort of students for longitudinal data.
Grads_Yr4 Integer 5 2 Yes The number of students from the cohort that graduated in 4 years.
Grads_Yr5 Integer 5 2 Yes The number of students from the cohort that graduated in 5 years.
Grads_Yr6 Integer 5 2 Yes The number of students from the cohort that graduated in 6 years.
