Report 06-9: Academic and Vocational Programs and Plans Proposed by the Public Higher Education Systems, 2005-06

This report highlights three major planning initiatives of the California public higher education systems:

  • Program expansion in the health sciences under consideration by the University of California;
  • Expansion of independent doctoral programs under consideration by the California State University; and
  • Development of a labor market analysis tool to assist the program planning process of California Community Colleges.
The report also summarizes the program reviews conducted by the Commission during the reporting period 2005-06.
