Report 08-12: The 21st Century GI Bill: What it means for California

The 21st Century GI Bill more than doubles current funding provided under the Montgomery GI Bill. Due to the doubling of educational assistance, the Commission projects a possible enrollment increase of 34,000 veterans and active duty personnel in private and public colleges and universities, with the greatest increase at community colleges.
