Published by The California Postsecondary Education CommissionJune 2009. 4 Pages. View Full Publication
This report presents policy recommendations which developed from a yearlong process of collecting data and research, speaking with students and experts in the field, and a panel discussion. Our research found that LGBT students face many challenges that require additional campus services and resources as well as an overall lack of data available on the LGBT student population. Policy recommendations cover the areas of student data, campus climate, campus policies, professional development, and student support services. It is intended that campuses will adopt the recommendations that fulfill their campus needs with limited additional costs.
