Proposed Revisions to the Commission’s Guidelines for Approval of Community College Educational Centers
The California Community College Board of Governors recently adopted new regulations governing the approval of community college educational centers. This agenda item updates the Commission’s approval criteria to make them consistent with the new regulations. (Information)

Proposal for a Community College Educational Center in Davis
This item contains a staff analysis of a proposal by the Los Rios Community College District to convert its Davis outreach operations to a single state-approved educational center. The proposal responds to the district’s need to expand services in the Davis area. The center will be situated on the UC Davis campus. (Action)

Item 11:
Proposal for Community College Center in Elk Grove
The Commission will review a proposal by the Los Rios Community College District to establish an educational center in Elk Grove. This proposal was granted conditional approval by the Community Colleges Board of Governors under new a statute that allows for development of a center when initial year enrollment is below the requirement for full approval. The proposal is presented to the Commission as an information item. (Information)

Prospectus for a Study of the Match Between Degrees Awarded and California Labor Market Demand
Staff will present a prospectus to examine data from the U.S. Bureau of the Census, the California Employment Development Department, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to assess the extent to which university graduates are employed in occupations that do not require a university degree.
